COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pikes Peak Humane Society said their animal law enforcement team expects a lot of different situations, however, a pig stuck in a fence by its tusk? They said that one was a new one.

Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region officials said their officers responded earlier last week after a report of a pig named Edgar getting stuck in a fence by his tusks.

Officials said officers tried to use bolt cutters to free Edgar, but they said he had “committed fully to the situation.”

Colorado Springs firefighters eventually showed up with some stronger equipment to cut Edgar free, officials said.

Officials said Edgar was okay, and his owners arrived home shortly after the rescue mission.

Officials said they imagine Edgar’s ego, however, may need a little more recovery time.
