(CNN) - Disney is cracking down on password sharing on its streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+.

It’s a move that follows in the footsteps of Netflix, one of its top competitors.

In an email to Hulu subscribers on Wednesday, the company said it would start limiting sharing accounts outside of your household starting March 14.

Hulu’s user agreement, along with those for Disney+ and ESPN+, explicitly prevents users from impersonating someone else by using their username or password.

All three user agreements were last updated on Jan. 25.

Disney’s CEO Bob Iger hinted back in August that this move was coming. At the time, he said the company planned to address the issue of password sharing in 2024.
