Springs Police arrest barricaded suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs Police arrested 45-year-old Jamie Salazar after finding him barricaded in an attic of a residence.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call for service at approximately 6:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Iowa Ave near St. Mary’s High School.

Police say when officers arrived on scene they located two victims, one suffering from minor injuries.

During the investigation, officers say they discovered the suspect had barricaded himself in the attic of a residence.

CSPD Tactical Enforcement Unit and K9 Unit responded to assist with additional support from both exterior and interior drones.

The suspect was found hiding in the residence and was eventually taken into custody.
