Colorado Springs open newest Barnes and Noble featuring acclaimed author for ribbon cutting
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs opened up its brand new Barnes & Noble store, featuring acclaimed author Rebecca Yarros.
Yarros, known for writing “Fourth Wing,” was at the grand opening Wednesday to cut the ribbon and officially open the store.
The Barnes & Noble store location store manager Miranda Anderson said in a press release that dozens of customers began lining up as early as 3 a.m., with the line growing around nearby buildings and into the parking lot.
“We did the Avalanche game and she also has her Nuggets game coming up in April, and she also has a baseball game with the Rockies. So we’re huge fans of Rebecca and her work and we’re really excited to see her today,” an attendee of the opening Marie Fe Woods told 11 News crew.
“I came to see Rebecca, but I also came because I don’t want to go to the Citadel one anymore. I want to come closer to home,” another attendee Shyesha Hughes said to 11 News crew.
The new store is located on the east side of the city at the First & Main Town Center off Powers Boulevard and Carefree Circle.
