Westbound Highway 24 back open following serious crash

A serious crash closed the westbound lanes of Highway 24 just west of Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
The Colorado Department of Transportation announced the closure between Cave of the Winds and a Frontage Road near Manitou Springs just before 5 in the evening. CDOT asked the public to watch for emergency crews.
Westbound Highway 24 was back open as of 5:45 p.m. No information on injuries was available last time this article was updated.
