EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Friday afternoon, emergency crews responded after an SUV caught fire on U.S. 24 in El Paso County.

The right lane of U.S. 24 Westbound closed near Mile Point 294 just south of Cascade. That area lies between Waldo Canyon and Pikes Peak Highway.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) was helping to direct traffic a little before 5 p.m. and waiting on hazmat because of a potential gas spill.

CSP said there were no injuries.
