Jefferson County deputies respond to shed fire ‘very close’ to home

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Jefferson County deputies responded to a shed on fire close to a home Wednesday evening.

Jefferson County deputies said that at around 8:20 p.m., deputies were called to a reported fire on Meyers Gulch Road.

Deputies said multiple callers reported smoke and flames, with flames reaching about 20 feet.

When deputies arrived, they found a shed on fire “very close” to a home.

Deputies said nobody was inside the home, then used fire extinguishers and dirt to slow the fire and keep it from spreading to the house until firefighters arrived.

Firefighters from Evergreen took control and fully extinguished the fire. Deputies posted a video of crews extinguishing the fire, as seen below.

Deputies said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
