Traffic was tangled up in both directions on I-25 after two crashes occurred within minutes on opposite sides of the interstate.
The first crash, involving a RV pulling a Jeep, occurred just before 11 a.m. on the southbound side of the road between the Woodmen and Academy exits. The driver lost control, causing both vehicles to roll. Police tell 11 News the elderly man and woman in the RV are both expected to be OK.
Shortly after the first crash, a three-car collision occurred in the northbound lanes. Police say the three-car accident was a direct result of the RV crash.
Several agencies responded to the scene to assist with traffic control and clearing the crash sites.
