A person had to be rescued at Rampart High School Thursday after becoming trapped when a pipe fell on him.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department says the man was working inside the school in an area full of pipes when an 18-inch pipe fell on him.
Firefighters couldn't reach him from inside the school because the space was so confined, so they went through the roof.
The Fire Department tweeted that they pulled the man though a 20-inch pipe and up 15 feet in order to get him out.
The worker could have sustained a spinal injury when the pipe fell. He was taken to the hospital on a backboard.
A spokeswoman from District 20 says the man was a contractor.
