Wildfire Bills Set For Governor's Signature

Following one of the worst wildfire seasons in state history, Governor John Hickenlooper is preparing to sign new wildfire preventative measures into law.

The measures, which have already passed in the state legislature, include new restrictions for prescribed burns on state forest land and granting the governor more flexibility to send money to fight wildfires.

The measures are in two different bills, both which will be signed Thursday at Mesa Verde National Park in Cortez.
