Lockdowns Lifted at Springs Hospitals

Colorado Springs police responded to two hospitals Monday searching for a "suspicious person."

Penrose Main on Nevada Avenue was on lockdown for about an hour Monday, starting just before noon. Patients got phone calls canceling appointments at the hospital, and those already inside were told to lock doors and stay in place. Officers searched the entire hospital and cleared the scene.

Then, Memorial Hospital on East Boulder went on lockdown while police responded there.

The person officers were looking for was detained in the parking garage at Memorial Hospital. Police questioned the person and determined that he/she was not a threat.

No arrests were made and no charges will be filed.
