Long-running fun center Mr. Biggs is planning to sell arcade games, go-karts and other items at an auction Saturday. The business closed its doors on April 29.
“We’re basically selling everything from the fun center and more,” said Jim Fenlason, CEO.
In addition to arcade games and go-karts, the auction will also include restaurant equipment, restaurant and office furniture, maintenance equipment and generators. The auction is being conducted by SuperAuctions, a national auction firm.
When the closure of Mr. Biggs was announced, company co-founder Steve Bigari explained that the decision was made in order to greater benefit the city of Colorado Springs, by bringing more jobs to the area through the expansion of Stellar Restaurant Solutions, which shares the building. "It was tough for us...making this decision," Bigari said. "We know what Mr. Biggs means to the community, but we also know that Colorado Springs needs jobs, and the Stellar expansion is going to bring a lot of jobs here."
