Details are scarce about former president and vice president George W. Bush and Dick Cheney's appearances before an insurance group in Colorado Springs Monday and Tuesday.

Along with General Stanley McChrystal, they were in town for the 97th annual Insurance Leadership Forum at the Broadmoor. Cheney, who was the keynote speaker, and McChrystal both spoke on Monday, while Bush spoke in front of the group on Tuesday.

Cheney spoke at the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers event, but a spokesman has not returned calls about what the speech was about. A spokesman for Bush says that he doesn't know what the former president had to say.

The event was closed to the public, but it still attracted protesters. The group Coloradans for Peace have been holding a two day rally outside the Broadmoor during the event.
