Former School Security Guard Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault

A former security guard who worked for Coronado High School in Colorado Springs plead guilty to one count of misdemeanor sexual assault.

Tyler Hamilton signed a plea agreement in court on Tuesday. He also plead guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor which is a felony. Hamilton is 28, the victim is 16-years-old.

District 11 says Tyler Hamilton was fired from his job as a security guard at Coronado High School. He worked as a security guard for about three months. He was arrested in February.

Hamilton's arrest affidavit obtained by 11 News said the two met using an online app called "Whisper" where users can remain anonymous.

They met in person in July and by August, police say, the teen had run away from home to move in with Hamilton.
