If your dog is sneezing alot, it could have the flu.
According to Merck, which makes a canine flu vaccine, a highly contagious strain has turned up in several states.
Cases have been recently reported in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Colorado and Texas. There is also an investigation in California.
Veterinarians suggest you give your dog a flu shot if you plan on boarding it or taking it to the groomer in the next few months.
People can't catch canine flu, but they can spread the virus through their clothes. Symptoms for dogs are roughly the same as humans.
