Colorado Springs police have arrested two men suspected of shooting a man outside of a Colorado Springs Walmart.
Christopher Harmon, 26, was shot and killed outside the Walmart at 3201 East Platte Avenue. Police say the shooting happened just after midnight in the parking lot on September 26.
The men suspected of pulling the trigger in a drive-by shooting have been identified as 19-year-old Frank Miller, a Fort Carson soldier, the other suspect is a minor.
They've both been arrested for first degree murder.
Witnesses said that a dark-colored four-door Dodge Charger passing in front of the store fired several shots, hitting Harmon, who was standing outside of the building. Investigators say that the vehicle was either black or dark blue, and a model from 2006-2010.
"I hate to see all the crime," said Debora Whitley, who has called Colorado Springs home for nearly 50 years. "Even the so-called safe neighborhoods aren't safe, as far as I'm concerned."
Emergency crews attempted to revive Harmon. "The [victim] was pronounced dead at the scene," said Colorado Springs Police Sgt. Craig Simpson.
Cops do not believe this was a random shooting. This was the 17th homicide in Colorado Springs in 2010.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
