One man is dead after a crash in Fremont County Friday.
The driver of a Ford Ranger lost control of his vehicle while heading westbound on Highway 50 just after 5 p.m. He traveled off the side of the road, crashing into a sign, then spinning back onto the road before rolling multiple times. The passenger, 56-year-old Jake Borunda of Coaldale, died on scene.
The driver, 53-year-old Jerry Borunda, was flown to St. Mary Corwin in Pueblo with serious injuries. His condition is unknown at this time. Troopers say both men were wearing their seatbelts.
State patrol is still investigating the accident. At this time, alcohol and drug use have not been ruled out as factors.
