A memorial is growing for a teenager gunned down in the middle of the street in a Pueblo neighborhood.
The Pueblo County coroner is confirming the victim is 15-year-old Isaac Lucero.
Issac's family tells 11 News the teen was walking in the area of Utica and 11th Street shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday when a group of people approached. In broad daylight, a gun was pulled out and Issac was shot.
Pueblo police believe two or three people were involved in the shooting.
Stephan Vigil, Issac's brother-in-law, was with Issac when the teen was shot.
"I was there...I was there. I seen it. They were walking down the street, they pulled out a...they pulled out a gun. He took...a couple shots out of it to kinda give a signature, and he shot.
"I'm crushed. Me and my wife tried to raise that kid,” Vigil told 11 News.
Flickering candles illuminated the night as classmates and friends gathered in Pueblo Wednesday evening to remember Isaac.
"That was our best friend. He was like our brother. It's not right. He was only 15,” said Esperanza Gonzales, one of Issac's friends.
At this point no arrests have been made. The family believes the shooting may be gang-related. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
