TEMPE, ARIZ. Johnny Walker and Joshua Maniscalco each scored twice and No. 13 Arizona State scored the final four goals in a 4-2 victory over Colorado College Friday night in Tempe, Ariz.

After a scoreless first period, Trey Bradley gave the Tigers (7-8-2) a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at the 8:59 mark of the second period. Nick Halloran sent a cross-ice pass to Bradley, who beat ASU goalie Joey Daccord from the right circle for his fifth of the season.

Ben Copeland made it 2-0 just 42 seconds later when Alex Berardinelli found him charging down the slot from behind the net. He beat Daccord just inside the right post for his fourth goal of the campaign.

The Sun Devils cut the lead in half at the 11:13 mark when Tyler Busch won a faceoff back to Maniscalco, whose shot from the point found its way past CC goalie Alex Leclerc. Walker then scored his nation-leading 14th goal of the season, finishing an odd-man rush with a blast from the right circle that went just inside the far post with 3:36 remaining in the second.

Walker notched the game winner midway through the third with a shot from the left circle that Leclerc seemed to stop, but the referee said the puck snuck between his pad and the near post. After reviewing the play, the called was confirmed and the Sun Devils took the lead for good.

Maniscalco added an empty-netter with 36 seconds left in the game for the final margin.

Arizona State (13-6) outshot the Tigers, 37-25, including a 26-13 advantage over the final two periods, marking the first time in the last seven games that CC did not outshoot its opponent. Halloran and Bradley led the Tigers with four shots apiece, while ASU’s Brinson Pasichnuk led all players with five.

CC was 1-for-3 on the power play, snapping an 0-for-11 streak entering the game, while ASU was 0-for-3. Leclerc finished with 33 saves and Daccord had 23.

The two teams will battle again on Saturday, Dec. 15, beginning at 7 p.m.
