ThunderWolves soccer programs set dates for summer camps

PUEBLO, Colo. The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's and women's soccer programs announced three summer camps that will take place over the next few months at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium and registration is now open.

The first camp, a beginners camp for boys and girls ages 5-10 will be June 17-20. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. each day and will provide players with a solid understanding of the fundamental skills and rules of the game.

Cost of the camp is $55 per child and a $15 late fee assessed after June 10.

The second is an intermediate camp that will run from June 17 through June 21, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. each day for boys and girls ages 6-14. The camp will provide players with a review of the basic skills and tactics, while introducing a higher level of skills and tactics. Cost of the intermediate camp will be $80 per child and a late fee assessed after June 10.

The final camp is an all day boys and girls camp for ages 7-15 and will be held July 29th through August 1st. The four-day event provides players with high level and skills tactics instruction, introduction to futsal (indoor soccer with a weighted ball), and swimming for muscle recovery.

Cost of the all day camp is $160 per child and does include lunch each day. Players may also register for $130 but does not include lunch.

A $15 late fee will be assessed if registered after July 22.

Camp staff requests all players bring shinguards, soccer ball, water bottle, swim suit and indoor soccer/gym shoes.
