DENVER (KKTV) - Three Denver Broncos made the cut for the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl roster. All three play on the defensive side of the ball.
Linebacker Von Miller and Cornerbacks Chris Harris, Jr. and Aqib Talib will play for the AFC in the annual match-up of the NFL’s best.
Fourteen games into the season, Miller is second in the league in sacks recording 13.5. Miller is the 11th player in Broncos history to make at least five Pro Bowls. Eight of the previous 10 are Ring of Famers.
One of the rare cornerbacks who works as both a slot cornerback and on the outside, Harris has broken up 11 passes while racking up 58 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble in his sixth season since joining the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2011. This is the third time Harris has been selected for the roster.
Talib has tallied 27 tackles and three interceptions with only two games left. This will be his fourth Pro Bowl selection.
Six Broncos were named as alternates to the AFC squad: center Matt Paradis, wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, safeties Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward and defensive end Derek Wolfe.
A league-best seven Oakland Raiders have been selected to play in the Pro Bowl. QB Derek Carr, WR Amari Cooper and DE Khalil Mack are among the standouts for one of the Broncos' biggest rivals.
This season the annual match up between the NFC and AFC is taking place Jan. 29 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
