COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. After posting a conference-leading time in the 200-meter dash at last week’s Jerry Quiller Classic, Air Force junior Terrell Bradford was named the Mountain West Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week this morning (March 20). It is the first weekly MW award for the Colorado Springs native.
Bradford had a strong outdoor-opening race on March 16, as he recorded the sixth-fastest time in Academy history (21.23) to easily win the 200-meter dash in Boulder. That time – a personal improvement of nearly one second – bettered the field of 15 by 0.34 seconds. With that time, which paced Air Force to a dominating showing among the top half of the field, Bradford is currently ranked first in the conference, 18th in the West Region and 27th in the NCAA.
The Falcons return to action this weekend (March 22-23), when they travel to San Diego for the 41st-annual Aztec Invitational at the SDSU Sports Deck.
