Pine Creek pulls away from Pueblo West to reach 4A title game

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The #1 Pine Creek Eagles flew past the #5 Pueblo West Cyclones 34-0 at District 20 Stadium Saturday, advancing one again to the 4A state championship.

After holding a 14-0 halftime lead, the Eagles David Moore III broke free for a 63-yard touchdown to push the lead to 21-0 in the 3rd quarter. Pine Creek quarterback Gavin Herberg found Gradon Miller in the endzone in the 4th to give the Eagles the eventual victory over the Cyclones.

Pine Creek moves on to face Broomfield in the 4A state championship game December 7th from Empower Field.

In 3A, Palmer Ridge pushed past Green Mountain 42-21 Saturday, while Pueblo West survived Frederick 28-24. The Colts and Bears will play in a rematch next week from the Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl December 7th in the 3A title game. Earlier in the season, Palmer Ridge defeated South 24-19
