Piatt slugs way to RMAC Player of Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 19, 2019) - Colorado State University-Pueblo softball sophomore Marissa Piatt (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) earned her first career Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week accolade after going 9-for-14 (.643) at the plate and hit four extra-base hits in leading the Pack in three wins over the weekend at New Mexico Highlands.

Piatt slugged two homeruns, two doubles and tallied eight RBIs. She recorded 17 total bases and finished with two free passes. Piatt posted a 1.214 slugging percentage and an on-base mark of .688 in four games. She recorded multiple hits in every game in the series.

Piatt currently sits 7th in the RMAC in average (.434), 4th in slugging (.774), and is tied-5th in homeruns (5).

CSU-Pueblo stays on the road this week and opens a four-game series at MSU Denver starting Saturday at noon at Regency Athletic Complex.
