Pack Baseball Prospect Camp set for Oct. 6

PUEBLO, Colo. Colorado State University-Pueblo Baseball will host a Prospect Camp Sunday Oct. 6 at Rawlings Field.

The Pack's Prospect Camp starts at 10 a.m. and is open to high school students. It will be a showcase style camp.

Any 9-12 grader who attends the camp will have the chance to catch the eye of the ThunderWolves coaching staff. Pack Baseball has signed players out of this camp every year.

CSU-Pueblo Head Coach Stan Sanchez will lead the camp. Sanchez has guided the Pack to 862 victories over 25 seasons at CSU-Pueblo. His 862 wins stand as the second-most in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference all-time.

During Sanchez' tenure, the Pack has advanced 27 players to professional baseball. Nine of these players have been drafted by major league teams. Most recently, Beau Brieske was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 27th round of the 2019 MLB draft.

Sanchez has led the Pack to nine NCAA Regional appearances. He has managed the Pack to four RMAC Regular Season Championships and five RMAC Tournament Championships.
