DENVER (KKTV) - A new deal with DIRECTV and Altitude Sports & Entertainment will bring the Nuggets and Avalanche games back to TV!

"We're thrilled to be back on the air with our partners at DIRECT." Altitude TV wrote on Twitter on Thursday night. "This is tremendous news for the fans of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche who have had to endure missing their teams at the start of the seasons."

Altitude Sports is still in negotiations with Comcast and DISH. The cable companies stopped carrying the channel back in September when the separate parties couldn't come to an agreement in contract negotiations.

The following statement was sent to 11 News by AT&T-Rocky Mountain Region's Lead Public Relations Manager Suzanne Trantow:
AT&T/DIRECTV and Altitude Sports & Entertainment have entered into a new multi-year distribution agreement to provide NBA Denver Nuggets, NHL Colorado Avalanche, University of Denver Pioneers, MLS Colorado Rapids, National Lacrosse League Colorado Mammoth and other sports to DIRECTV customers. Altitude Sports has returned to DIRECTV homes.

Altitude and AT&T/DIRECTV thank local sports fans for their patience while they worked toward this new agreement.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
