CSU's Paige earns MW Player of the Week honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State senior guard J.D. Paige earned the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award for games played through Sunday, Nov. 18. This is the first time Paige has received the weekly accolade.

Tied a career-high with 23 points in the thrilling win over Montana State, 81-77, on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
Trailing 67-63 in the second half, Paige exploded for eight consecutive points (three layups and two free-throws) to tie the game at 71. Colorado State went on to score 10 more points, while limiting Montana State to just six.
In the final 30 seconds, Paige made a pair of free throws to help the Rams secure the win.
Tallied 14 of his 23 points in the second half, shooting 62.5 percent (5-8) from the field and 80 percent (4-5) from the line.
In addition to his 23 points (9-of-16), Paige recorded five rebounds and two assists while playing 35 minutes.
