COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Three members of the No. 8 Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling team were recognized by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in a Wednesday announcement, as D'Andre Brumfield (R-Jr., Dallas, Texas), Isaiah Diggs (R-Jr., Federal, Wash.) and Haszell West (R-Jr., Portland, Ore.) were all named 2018-19 All-RMAC First Team selections.
All three are All-RMAC selections for the first time and had perfect records in RMAC duals this season.
Brumfield, ranked No. 2 nationally, went 6-0 at 133 and finished the regular season with a 19-4 overall record and two falls. He went 14-1 with two falls in dual competition. Two of his six wins in conference came by a major decision.
At 157, Diggs was 7-0 in his first RMAC season and posted an 8-5 overall and dual record during the regular season. He had one fall, a tech fall and a major decision against conference foes.
West ranks No. 4 nationally at 197 and was not only flawless (7-0) in RMAC duals, but will enter the regional championships with an 18-0 record. He has three falls on the season, two of which came in league duals. He also recorded two major decision victories against RMAC wrestlers. In his first weekend as a member of the Pack, West won the UNK Holiday Inn Open.
The ThunderWolves are set to compete at the NCAA Division II Super Region VI Championships in Kearney, Nebraska Saturday, Feb. 23. The top three wrestlers from each of the 10 weight classes will advance to the national championships, slated for March 8-9 in Cleveland, Ohio.
