Broncos sign WR Aaron Burbridge to Future Contract

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. The Denver Broncos signed wide receiver Aaron Burbridge to a future contract and designated wide receiver Andre Holmes as waived/injured it was announced on Thursday.

Burbridge (6-1, 208 pounds) is a fourth-year player who recorded seven receptions for 88 yards (12.6 avg.) in 16 games (3 starts) with San Francisco from 2016-18. He missed the entire 2017 season with a hamstring injury and spent the 2018 season on the 49ers’ practice squad after being waived/injured following Week 1.

Selected by San Francisco in the sixth round (213th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft, Burbridge played four seasons at Michigan State University (2012-15) and was chosen as the Big Ten Conference’s Receiver of the Year as a senior.

Burbridge was born on Dec. 23, 1993, in Farmington Hills, Mich.

Future contract signees will be officially added to the roster at the start of the league year on Wednesday, March 13.
