Broncos promote Jeff Holland to Active Roster

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. The Denver Broncos promoted outside linebacker Jeff Holland to their active roster and waived inside linebacker Alexander Johnson, it was announced on Friday.

Holland (6-2, 249 pounds) is a rookie linebacker from Auburn University who was signed by the Broncos as a college free agent on May 1. He has competed on Denver’s practice squad since totaling three solo tackles, two sacks (18 yds.) and one fumble recovery in four preseason games with the Broncos.

A First-Team All-Southeastern Conference as a junior in 2017, Holland appeared in 40 games (14 starts) in three seasons for the Tigers. He finished his collegiate career with 71 tackles (44 solo), 13 sacks (87 yds.), five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Holland is Jacksonville, Fla., native and was born on Sept. 27, 1997. He will wear No. 46.
