ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Denver Broncos third-year long snapper Casey Kreiter has been named to the 2019 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced on Wednesday.
The first Broncos long snapper to earn a Pro Bowl selection, Kreiter played 16 games in 2018 and handled 146 snaps (85 punts, 25 FGs, 35 PATs, 1 fake punt) without an unplayable delivery.
Kreiter was chosen by Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach Anthony Lynn as a “need” player for the Pro Bowl roster (Lynn’s staff will coach the AFC in the NFL’s annual All-Star game). The NFL stipulates that the head coach of each team chooses a “need” player, and those players must be long snappers.
Kreiter joins outside linebacker Von Miller and running back Phillip Lindsay as Pro Bowl selections. The game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 27, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. (1 p.m. MST kickoff, ESPN/ABC).
