CLEVELAND When the National League was down in the 2019 All-Star Game Charlie Blackmon came out to add points to the board and to give himself his first ever All-Star Game hit.

Before Tuesday night Blackmon was 0-8 in his three previous All-Star Game appearances. He was happy to see that streak come to an end.

Blackmon said, “Ya know sometimes they make good plays and sometimes they make really good pitches and it was nice just to get on the board right there.”

Blackmon started the run for the NL team but overall they were not able to put the game away. The American League won the All-Star Game 4-3.
