Colorado Springs, Colo. The Falcons open the regular season on the road with a pair of games at Notre Dame, Friday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 13. The Falcons face an Irish team that spent most of last season in the nation’s top 10 before reaching the NCAA Elite Eight. Air Force and Notre Dame have not played since the 2006 Lightning College Hockey Classic in Tampa, Fla. The Falcons have not visited South Bend since 1992-93. Air Force’s first ever series as a hockey program was against Notre Dame, a pair of Irish wins to open the 1968-69 season.
Air Force opens the home schedule with a non-conference series against Arizona State, Oct. 18-19, at Cadet Ice Arena. Air Force swept the Sun Devils at the Academy in 2017-18. The Falcons have won three of four in the all-time series against ASU.
Atlantic Hockey Conference play begins with a home series against RIT, Thursday-Friday, Oct. 24-25, at the Cadet Ice Arena. Air Force will play six of its first 10 games at home.
