USAFA, Colo. Air Force Academy head women's soccer coach Larry Friend
announced his programs 2019 slate Tuesday, July 2. The 19-game regular season schedule includes 12 games that will be played at home at the Cadet Soccer Stadium.
The Falcons begin the year in the Lone Star State as they will play an
exhibition match against the Texas Longhorns, Friday, Aug. 16. The regularseason begins the following week with the home opener against Siena, Aug. 23. The opening weekend concludes when AF plays host to Texas A&M -Corpus Christi, Aug. 25.
The following weekend is parents weekend, as the Falcons will host Saint Francis (Pa.) in a night game, Aug. 30. Air Force won't play again until the following weekend, Sept. 6, when they host rival Army West Point. It will mark the 17th meeting between the two programs, and the second time in the last three seasons the Black Knights will visit the Academy. Air Force's five game home stand to open the season will come to an end, Sept. 8, when they host the Broncos of Western Michigan.
Air Force's first regular season road trip comes the following weekend, as they jump down to Florida for a pair of matches in Jacksonville. AF will play the Jacksonville Dolphins, Sept. 13, followed by a match with North Florida, Sept. 15. Then it is back home to conclude the non-conference schedule, as the Blue and Silver will host Seattle, Sept. 20.
Then it is on to the grueling Mountain West Conference schedule, as the Falcons will play each team once to try and make the field of six that
compete for the MW Tournament title. This season, AF will host San Jose State (Sept. 29), Wyoming (Oct. 4), Colorado State (Oct. 6), San Diego State (Oct. 16), New Mexico (Oct. 20), and Colorado College (Nov. 1), while going on the road to Fresno State (Sept. 27), UNLV (Oct. 11), Nevada (Oct. 13), Utah State (Oct. 25), and Boise State (Oct. 27).
