Man facing felony assault charges after stabbing in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is facing felony assault charges after stabbing another man in the chest.

On Friday evening, Colorado Springs police responded to a possible stabbing in the 500 block of Vernon Ct.

After investigation, detectives say two men had a physical altercation that turned violent.

One of the men, 26-year-old Connor Bourquein, stabbed the other man in the chest.

An unidentified woman tried to disarm Bourquein, but was cut in the hand.

The man and woman who were both sent to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. They have since been released.

Bourquein was not injured in the incident and was taken into custody.

Bourquein is currently booked in El Paso County Criminal Justice Center and is facing felony assault charges.
