COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - People all across Colorado Springs are getting ready for a massive clean up after a round of dangers wind conditions.
We received dozens of pictures and videos from viewers showing all the damage done by fallen trees in neighborhoods all over which raises the question: who is responsible for clearing a downed tree?
As you get ready to start the clean up process, the first thing you should do is check with the city and find out if they will remove a fallen tree from your property. If not, then it is the responsibility of the homeowner to deal with the clean up.
Lots of residents told KKTV they wanted to get a head start on the clean up process.
"Started at it, and then the neighbors stopped by to help start a debris pile and here I am," said David Nelson.
The winds Tuesday are not expected to be as bad as Monday, but some trees could have been weakened, meaning it won't take much for them to topple over.
