WANTED: Kidnapping suspect in Colorado who identified himself as an officer

DENVER (KKTV) - Police in Colorado are asking for the public's help in locating a kidnapping suspect. A composite sketch of the suspect is at the top of this article.

Denver Police are reporting the victim was brushing snow off her vehicle in the 300 block of N. Clayton Street on Oct. 29. While at her car, the suspect reportedly approached her and identified himself as a police officer. The suspect then pointed a gun at her and ordered her into the vehicle.

The suspect then told the victim to drive. Police are reporting the female victim was able to escape.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5'10", who was wearing blue a blue track or warm-up pants, a black "police-style" jacket, a black-knit beanie and what appeared to be a bulletproof vest on under the jacket. The suspect also had a radio attached to the jacket.
