GOLDEN, Colo. (KKTV) - UPDATE 5/7/19:
The two suspects were caught on Tuesday according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

ORIGINAL STORY 5/6/19:

Authorities in Colorado want the public to be aware of two teens who escaped from a youth correctional facility on Monday.

Golden police shared pictures of 19-year-old Javier Madera and 17-year-old Emilio Dominguez. Both are pictured at the top of this article. Both are sex offenders with gang affiliations according to the Golden Police Department.

"A guard at the facility last saw the two men between 12-1 a.m. when he let the two men, roommates at the facility, go to the bathroom," the police department wrote on Facebook. "A Golden police officer did a routine perimeter check at 2:21 a.m. and did not see anything unusual. When the officer did another routine check at 5:20 a.m., the officer saw a dumpster turned on its side and sheets hanging out of a window on the second floor on the northwest side of the building. A window was also broken out."

Madera has ties to Commerce City, while the parents of Dominguez live in Denver.

If you see either teen, you are asked to call 911 immediately.
