Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 7 a.m. to the area of E. Enterprise Drive and N. Precision Drive after a 27-year-old man reported someone fired a shot at his vehicle shortly after he drove into a parking lot of a local business.
The victim told deputies he was driving east in the 300 block of E. Enterprise Drive near the intersection of Fabrication Drive when a dark-colored SUV pulled out in front of him. The victim said the driver of the vehicle drove slowly before coming to a stop in the middle of the road. The victim said he stopped behind the vehicle but then turned into a nearby business parking lot. The victim said he then heard something hit his truck and saw the SUV drive off north on Precision Drive at a slow rate of speed.
Deputies discovered a gunshot had penetrated the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle. Surveillance video from the area showed the suspect vehicle was an older model, dark-colored Ford Explorer. The driver was described as Hispanic with short hair and facial hair. There is believed to have been a passenger in the vehicle as well but there was not a description of that individual available.
The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 583-6250 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-STOP (7867).
