Ukrainian woman arrested in Woodland Park for illegal marijuana grow worth $1.4 million

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KKTV) - A Ukrainian woman was arrested in Woodland Park, suspected of operating an illegal marijuana grow deputies say was worth about $1.4 million on the black market.

The Teller County Sheriff's Office and Woodland Park Police Department raided a home at 660 Calico Court on Thursday after getting a search warrant.

When they searched the home, they found more than 288 pounds of marijuana and 86 live plants.

The suspect was identified as 52-year-old Svitlana Azovska. She faces a felony charge for cultivation.
