A Ukrainian woman was arrested in Woodland Park, suspected of operating an illegal marijuana grow deputies say was worth about $1.4 million on the black market.
The Teller County Sheriff's Office and Woodland Park Police Department raided a home at 660 Calico Court on Thursday after getting a search warrant.
When they searched the home, they found more than 288 pounds of marijuana and 86 live plants.
The suspect was identified as 52-year-old Svitlana Azovska. She faces a felony charge for cultivation.
Law enforcement is reminding residents to remain vigilant of illegal marijuana grows, stating they can produce harmful black mold. Activity can be reported to the sheriff's office at 719-687-9252 or to police at 719-687-9262.
