Colorado State Patrol troopers aren't laughing over an alleged joke that had authorities track down a vehicle on Highway 115.
A citizen called authorities when they noticed a sign in the back of a car Wednesday evening close to Fort Carson. The sign read "Help me please!" and was written in marker on a sheet of paper taped to the back windshield.
A trooper was able to track down the vehicle alongside the Fremont County Sheriff's Office. The sign was apparently a joke.
Trooper Josh Lewis, a spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol, says troopers "had a good long talk" with the driver and passengers in the car. At this time, no one is facing any charges related to the sign.
