Thanks to a good Samaritan and the close proximity of a fire station, flames on a trash truck were quickly put out.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department says the driver of a Waste Management trash truck was in the El Paso County Citizens Center off Garden of the Gods Road Monday morning.
The driver of the truck was told his vehicle was on fire, so he drove just east of the center to Fire Station 9.
Firefighters were then able to quickly put out the flames. There were no injuries reported.
