Emergency crews are responding to a train derailment near an elementary school in northern Colorado.

The Poudre Fire Authority says nine of the train's cars came off the tracks and tipped Sunday afternoon while hauling sand in Timnath. No one was hurt and authorities say the train was not carrying hazardous materials. Photos from the scene showed the cars on their side.

The fire authority says the train's crew has been accounted for.
