Pueblo County Sheriff's Department said Friday that there was no credible threat found for Skyview Middle School.

Interviews were conducted with students of interest and no information was found to determine Thursday's threat valid.

Two Pueblo West schools received threats, leading them to close one down for an investigation Thursday.

District 70 released a statement Thursday morning saying Skyview Middle School received information Wednesday about a possible threat. D-70 said the information came directly from the student population to the administrative staff.

D-70 said they began an investigation immediately but decided to close Skyview Middle School Thursday. The district and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating.

The district also said they received a Safe-2-Tell tip Wednesday about Pueblo West High School. The tip reported students were at Pueblo State Park and overheard some information from other teenagers about shooting people at PWHS.

D-70 said the details were vague and questionable, but there is increased security presence by the district and the Sheriff's Office at PWHS Thursday.

“It is important to note that these two events do not impact any other District 70 School operations in the Pueblo West area," said D-70's Facebook post.

Thursday afternoon the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office announced they were reviewing surveillance footage to identify a possible suspect or witness. Pueblo West High School had classes on Thursday with additional deputies on campus.
