COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police say they have captured a teen felony suspect following an hours-long standoff at a home in the northeast side of the Springs.

Police arrived at the home on Heathmoor Drive around 8:45 Wednesday night to arrest the boy on multiple warrants. He barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come out for several hours. Police and SWAT swarmed the neighborhood and finally apprehended him around 2 a.m.

A spokesperson for the police department could not confirm what the teen was wanted for. He has not been identified but is reportedly under 18.

Editor's note: Police initially told 11 News at 2:45 a.m. that they could not find the suspect at the conclusion of the standoff. They did not update our newsroom until 9:45 a.m. that the suspect was located in the house.

A lieutenant also told 11 News that a second suspect was taken into custody but was not the one officers were looking for. We have now been told there was just one suspect.
