Suspects on the run after armed robbery at Springs gas station

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police in Colorado Springs were looking for two men who robbed and pistol whipped an employee at a local gas station.

It happened early Friday morning at the Kum and Go near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Barnes Road.

According to the employees, two men walked in the gas station showing their weapons and demanding cash.

One of the victims was struck in the head with a weapon and the suspects fled the scene.

Police say the victim did suffer "severe lacerations" and was transported to a local hospital.

Officers searched for the suspects, but were unable to locate them.
