The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a deadly crash, possibly involving a DUI Friday afternoon.
The crash happened in the area of Lakeview and Acero Avenue in the southwest part of the city at about 1:10 p.m. The crash claimed the life of 62-year-old Lawrence Duran.
Police say a vehicle traveling north on Acero Avenue ran a stop sign and crashed into a truck traveling westbound on Lakeview Avenue. The driver of the vehicle that ran the stop sign has been identified as 30-year-old Andrew Briseno.
Briseno is receiving treatment at a local hospital before he will be transported to the Pueblo County Detention Center where he will face charges of vehicular homicide, DUI and reckless driving.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors. The investigation is ongoing.
