PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A driver is lucky to be alive after crashing into the side rail of a bridge in Pueblo on Saturday. Police say alcohol is considered a factor in the crash.
The crash happened at about 5 p.m. on the 8th Street bridge. The truck slammed into the side rail of the eastbound lanes, sending some of the rails into the river bottom below.
The suspect was found nearby and didn't appear to have any serious injuries, according to Pueblo Police. The suspect has also been convicted of DUI three times in the past, according to Pueblo Police.
The driver's name was not publicly released at the time this article was written. It isn't clear if the driver will be arrested or just cited.
