COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A dispute over an item ended in an act of arson Wednesday night.

Police say the suspect went over to the victim's house demanding an object, which the victim insisted they didn't have. The suspect lost their temper and threatened to burn the house down, the lit an object by the back door on fire.

The fire was still small when firefighters showed up at the home in the 900 block of South Cascade Avenue and was quickly extinguished. The damage to the home was minor enough that the victim was able to stay in house.

There is currently no suspect information released. Police say the victim and suspect were acquaintances.

It's unknown what the item in question was.
