WANTED: $10,000 reward offered for info leading to Randy Bishop's arrest out of Colorado Springs
The man who shot a Colorado Springs police officer over the weekend previously overpowered an officer at a local hospital and shot at him, authorities confirmed Monday.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the shooting, 35-year-old Randy Bishop shot at police late Saturday night during a routine traffic stop at the intersection of Galley Roaf and Arrawanna Street. Bishop had been on the run since
which is when Bishop allegedly assaulted an officer, took control of his gun, and fired at him before running out of the building and stealing a BMW.
In his latest encounter with police, authorities say he shot at officers as they approached his vehicle during the traffic stop.
"[The officer] requested for a cover officer," said Sgt. Deborah Mynatt with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. "The cover officer arrived on scene and both officers approached the vehicle and were met by gunfire from a male driver.”
One of the officers was hit, but was able to return fire.
"They responded back with gunfire, so at least one round per officer was shot toward the driver. ... The suspect fled the scene by vehicle and then immediately after crashed," Mynatt said.
The crash happened at Pikes Peak Avenue and Dunsmere Street, about a mile and a half away from the original scene. The suspect, believed to be Bishop, once again fled, this time ditching his car.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office, which is in charge of the investigation, says they do not know if the gunman was hit while exchanging shots with police.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing any available videos such as surveillance and body cam footage.
The wounded officer was identified as Officer Beau Becker, a four-year veteran of the Colorado Springs Police Department. Becker has been released from the hospital.
